My sofa's are getting on a bit and i'd like tofreshen up the cushion covers i know that i really should have ?
them dry cleaned but this will is going to be expensive as i've 11 cushion covers and 4 large seat covers would it be possible to wash them and then use laundry starch to make them firm again,
I put mine in the washing machine on a regular basis but it will wash out the fire retardancy so not a good idea if you smoke.
I use normal washing powder and fabric conditioner and put them on a 30 degree quick wash. I only ever hang them out to dry because I worry the tumble dryer will shrink them. While they are drying, I hoover the sofa out and use lots of febreeze on the frame and cushions.
You will be really impressed at how well they come out and how good they smell!
