question for Bruce Lee skeptics and haters?
Does it enrich your life to insult a man who has been dead for 27 years and who would be 70 if he were alive now? Other than p%%%ng off BL fanboys and cultists for sake of doing so, why do you gain so much satisfaction from running down another human being? What if Bruce lost a fight- would that mean than his ideas have no validity? I don't get it. Martial arts ia a rich tapestry, and the Bruce Lee Arts are less than 0.001% of it. With so much out there to learn, how does all of this "ad hoc" and "ad hominem" criticism become such a passion? One Lee critic uses the term "mark" as in an old lady who believes in wrestling. The implied comparison is that Lee is no more valid than wrestling. If you think jeet kune do is crap, fine. Let's see your stuff. Let's see how you are that much better than Bruce.
Cos many don't understand his life & see him as an actor not a martial artist who was actually talented. I was the exact same till i read into his life, sure he is overrated thats bound to happen in any field be it einstein for science or hendrix for music.
As for JKD its a philosophy & not one that he created its been around in some sense for thousands of years just his was the first ''official philosophy'' the other arts just used certain concepts where-as he brought it together. It ain't an art Bruce Lee specifically stated JKD wasn't an art with a set form yet that is how its marketed today. Lee had small groups of students who he would over a period of time train them individually to the best of their abilities more-so than a specific path for them all to follow
