can I use a timer switch on a 4 switch switchplate?
I would like to have a timer on my outdoor lights, the switch is indoors, part of a 4 switch switplate
I will see if I can search up a few examples. I got one for my parents some years ago (like 16) that secures to the outside of the switchplate and has electronic controls, and I’ve seen a few that have a shaft that protrudes through the slot which gets a knob to handle the time-of-day details. many of them can only control incandescent lights, so if you are using fluorescent, or other high efficiency lighting, you may have more trouble finding a timer that will work.
