where can I find free patterns online for placemats for a round table?

Sorry, I want to make them from fabric and then quilt them.
Make a pattern for yourself. Figure out how wide the placemat will be and then taper it to the top, probably 2 to 3 inches on each side should make it work. Just for the heck of it get yourself some newspaper and cut the pattern base and taper it to what you want and keep on until you get the measurments you want. If you do it this way cut out the paper in the amount the of seats you will need them for and place them around your table and see if it woks or if you need to increase or decrese the taper at the top. Since you are sewing this you will have a template to work with but dont forget to leave the 5/8 " for the seam.
