Our stainless steel pans turn black when boiling fruit, any suggestions for removing this deposit?
Fill the pot 3/4 full with water. Drop in two denture cleaning tablets, any brand will do (I usually buy them at a dollar store). Let the pot sit overnight and wash. The pot should clean up nicely, and the black deposits are easy to remove. Another trick is to make a paste using lemon juice and baking soda, but I prefer the denture tablets.
